Hi! It’s Charissa…
In case you haven’t guessed it already, I’m Charissa Singh (sha-ris-sa) & this is my ‘lil nook of a blog! I am a 28-year-old, Trinidadian native. I was born and raised in South Trinidad. However, from the age of 15 – 25, I resided in Northern New Jersey/New York. While living there, I attended Elmwood Park Memorial High, then went on to study Biochemistry at Montclair State. I’ve of course returned home, and I’ve been trying to live my best life since…
On May 17th, 2016 (my 24th birthday, yay!), I launched this blog which fulfilled a long time promise I made to myself. I’ve always enjoyed writing and also possess a great love for all things beauty, fashion, and faith-related. I decided to finally combine all of the above, and itsCharissaaa, the beauty, and lifestyle blog was born. The process forced me to step out of my comfort zone and has been slowly teaching me that I can do whatever I put my mind too, despite the fear factor.
Over time, you’re gonna discover that the way I think and what I write is heavily influenced by the places I’ve lived, along with my morals and faith. In most cases, I hope this will be positive. If you’re interested in reading about my relaunch, click here!
Random facts about myself? I really enjoy watching basketball with friends. I don’t have a favorite color, but I’m constantly drawn to the colors black and purple. Favorite food of life is Lasagna, but Chicken Alfredo is a close second. Converse and distressed jeans are my go-to articles of clothing. I have a weird infatuation with museums. I love almost everything about New York City. I can actually go on and on but for your sake, think that’s enough for now, lol.
