Yikes! To say it’s been awhile is an incredible understatement.
Hi, everyone! If you remember me, and this little blog of mine..great! If not, I really don’t blame you. I’ve disappeared from this love of mine for about six months, and oh have I missed it. I initially didn’t want to give a bunch of reasons (or excuses I guess), of why I disappeared. Buuut I think it’ll help put future blog posts into context a bit more, so here we gooo…
1 – I STARTED A NEW JOB! 🧑🏽💼
I started a new position that aligned with my love for skincare, beauty and digital media. Ya girl was super excited to start and thought it was such a good fit. I thought I would’ve adjusted quickly and flawlessly…and boy was I wrong. It has taken me quite sometime to acclimatize with the work, the environment and the people (all of who are very lovely.) I just didn’t think I would need the time to adjust. I really thought I’d hit the ground running, and it’s been the complete opposite of that. I’ve also been losing a battle with imposter syndrome, and re-evaluating my purpose. Soooo…it’s been a lot!
2 – I GOT MARRIED! 💍
First comes love, then comes marriage…🙈I don’t think I’ve ever disclosed much about my relationship, but in April, ya girl tied the knot! I’m not gonna lie, that ended up taking a lot out of me. Wedding planning but also counseling (100% recommend whether you’re religious or not), random errands, meetings and dealing with last minute mishaps. IT WAS A LOT, lol. I intend to talk about my prep beauty wise, but I also really feel compelled to talk about my prep spiritually, mentally and physically! We’ll get to it…
3- I MOVED! 🏡
So of course, I now live with a whole man, in our own little place. It’s taking some time to feel like home, but we’ve been slowly but surely been getting it done, on top of balancing everything else. I’m used to moving into a new space and making it feel like my own in a day (if you’re new around here, I’ve moved a lot and I consider myself a pro at this point) – not the case currently, which is fine too! I just forgot that, lol. I’ve been having fun thinking of decor and storage ideas. Content about that maybe? 👀
4 – I TURNED 30! 🥳🎂
You guysss, it’s wild! I’m really excited about being thirty, flirty and thriving! Haha, no but for real! I pray it’s my best decade yet. It’s weird to even think or say I’m thirty. It doesn’t look or feel the way I thought it would. I’m appreciative of being this age and space in my life, and hope to share some of it here.

Sooo now that i’ve spilled the beans on my absence, I really hope to get back to writing, reviewing and sharing all things beauty, lifestyle and faith related. While I was gone, I always thought about what my next blogpost could be, or randomly found things others would find helpful and felt the need to share. I missed this being an outlet for me.
