Your Local Christmas Pop Up Guide!

Happy December 1st! Honestly it’s incredibly wild that I’m saying that! With December, of course comes the greatest and most wonderful time of year, CHRISTMAS! In recent years, I started frequenting pop ups in Trinidad. At first the intent was not only to get unique Christmas gifts, but to also help stimulate the local economy. It is not a secret that the pandemic has hit this country and its economy very hard. When I’m able to, I like to patronize and do my part. (Learn more on that here!) Now, I love pop ups! You run into such incredible creators and talented individuals. There is always something to fawn over. ALWAYS!

So with that being said, this year I wanted to make it really easy for people to find pop up events. I’ve scouted and found a couple. This blog post will serve as your 2021 Christmas Local Pop Up Calendar. You’re welcome 🙂 Let’s also keep in mind that we’re still in the midst of a pandemic so please observe all Covid-19 protocols! I beg!

South folk, these next three are for you!

As a southie myself, you know I got you.

South Park will be welcoming the “Dufferent Pop Up Event.” It promises to have unique gifts at great prices and one of a kind deals. I was able to attend last Saturday, and there were a couple really cool vendors and services being offered. The same vendors may not always be there each day so it’s best to check their Instagram to see who’s there on that specific day.

Some of the vendors I ran into were Outright Apparel, Loud by Afiya, Nature’s Breath, Dominus – Experience Luxury, Bottled Heaven – Sensualistic Scents and there were still so many more. Great variety from what I’ve seen so far.

Here are the dates for the Dufferent Pop Up Event happening at South Park from 12PM – 7PM.
December 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th.
December 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th.

Now let’s go C3..

South Market will be held on Saturday 4th December, from 10AM-6PM. No word on specific vendors yet but there are always a TON of products to be found from food, to alcohol, to clothing & jewelry, to perfume and even house decor!

Not too far away…

The Palette will be hosting a Christmas Pop Up Shop at Achievors Banquet Hall on Saturday 11th December from 10AM – 3PM. Vendors such as All Book’d Up, bU Skin Treats, Curve Candle Co, FJ Designs, Galt and Maree and many more I’m sure will all be present. I won’t lie, I’m excited about this one, and I think you should be too! Definitely one to check out!

This weekend, Cedros Bay will be hosting their Clean Beauty Club Pop Up Market!

On Saturday 4th December at SAANA (Scott Street, St Clair) from 11AM – 4PM, vendors such as The Tipsy Boutique, Aya Styler and The Body Bar Co., are set to be popping up at the Clean Beauty Club Event! You can of course find Cedros Bay products present. They recently launched their take on beauty oils, and I’m excited to check them out (as should you!)

UpMarket Pop Up at Lion’s Cultural Center

We’re no strangers to UpMarket over here! They’re known as Trinidad’s Premier’s Artisan Market. Usually, they have pop ups all over Trinidad, however this season, they seem to be solely located at the Lion’s Cultural Center in Port of Spain. At one point or another, almost every local business passes through UpMarket. One thing for sure, you won’t be leaving empty handed – unless you’re uncommonly strong willed.

Here are the dates for UpMarket this upcoming month –
December 4th, 5th (9AM – 3:30PM)
December 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th
Night Market Dates – December 22nd & 23rd (2PM – 7:30PM)

Dwellings Mini Holiday Pop Up Shop

Here’s one for my central peeps!

Dwellings will be featuring a mini pop up at their space in Heartland Plaza, Chaguanas. TropShop, and It’s Pretty Productive will both be there, among a couple other vendors. Complimentary signature drinks will be offered while you shop. Very fancy, and a pop up I won’t mind indulging in at all. Definitely one to check out on Sunday 5th, between 12PM – 4PM.

Estate 101 Christmas Pop Up Market

This event is promising its attendees that it will indeed be very exclusive. It’s still in its registering phase, but Estate 101 never really disappoints. There will also be live entertainment, and food while you shop. Here are the potential dates and times for this special pop up.
December 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd from 3PM – 8PM.

Last but not least…DSW Shopper’s Market.

I know the least about this particular market, but it looks promising! Check it out on Saturday 4th at Haleland Park, Maraval.
