Out with the old, In With The…Mesh?

If you’re like me, you’re already plotting your return to the outside world post quarantine. For me, that includes planning outfits. When I first noticed the mesh trend was back I immediately thought, there was no way I can pull this off. In my eyes, mesh can be unforgiving and far from flattering if not executed well.

But what if executed well….?

I began my hunt for the perfect mesh tops for my body type. Here’s the thing, you have to be honest about what may or not look good on you paired with what you feel comfortable in. For me, I prefer when arms are slightly covered but I don’t mind showing some clavicle 😏 I kept these things in mind as I started perusing sites. I also made sure to look for styles I’d usually wear that incorporated the mesh trend.

I came across this off the shoulder bodysuit. I love this for several reasons! It’s a bodysuit so no unnecessary tucking. It’s a vibrant color that actually allows me to step outside of my comfort zone and helps me to stray away from my usually muted palette. Lastly but of course most importantly, it has cute mesh sleeves! I love this about it. It allows the trend to more so be an accessory to the look.

I paired the bodysuit with some classic high waisted, cuffed jeans and cute dainty gold jewelry. I wore black vans to go along with it as well, just to give it a more casual look.

I’ve been finding a lot of my mesh pieces on Pretty Little Thing. They always have sales. I prefer to buy pieces, like this one, on these sites. I can be trendy for a season or two, without breaking the bank.
